Agropoles Shop products

Specialized shops called Agropole Shop are open to promote local products in Yaoundé and Douala. There are many obstacles to the consumption of local products. Difficulties in preserving products, non-compliance with production and processing standards by local suppliers, lack of knowledge of local products, permanent non-supply of market spaces, etc. On the shelves, Penja pepper, ground cocoa, cosmetics, household cleaners, cookies, corn porridge, and fruit liqueurs. Most of these products are sold in liquid and powder form to ensure long-lasting preservation of food, most of which was lost due to its perishability. These stores have the support of the State for the development of "Made in Cameroon" production and for devoting a good volume to exports. For example, the Agropole Shop of Penja pepper must devote 80% of production to export. In 2028, it aims to be able to produce 500 tonnes, of which 400 are reserved exclusively for export. The Agropole Shop concept also highlights the works of local artisans.
