Social Housing: The State seeks the private

The World Bank will spend 25 billion for the digital economy

The World Bank plans to support Africa for the next 10 years to build foundations for the digital economy. Given its influence in the sector on economic growth, with 10% of the Internet penetration rate, GDP grows by 1.2%. In addition, research has shown that countries that are experiencing rapid growth in their industries are those that have digitalized faster than others. It is in this movement that, during the opening ceremony of the 5th edition of Transform Africa 2019 (TAS 2019), on May 14 at the Kigali Convention Center in Rwanda for three years, the announcement of the support of the World Bank has been made. Under the theme "Accelerating Africa's Digitization," Hafez Ghanem, vice president of the World Bank in charge of Africa, said their structure was ready to spend about 14607 billion CFA francs in the sector. The points devoted to this support include the development of digital infrastructures, digital skills, digital platforms, digital financial services and digital entrepreneurship.
