What is the city contract?
It is a tool for contractualizing urban management between the State and decentralized local authorities. An "agreement signed between the State and a commune, an urban community, commune unions and their groupings in the field of urban development, with a view to coordinating investments and improving urban governance. Through this agreement, drawn up in a participatory manner, the parties undertake to combine their efforts to define an urban project aimed at improving the living environment of inhabitants, promoting decent employment and urban resilience".
