The factory of the city
Refers to the social process by which the urban fabric is transformed, with emphasis on three (03) characteristics: morphological evolution, including on a fine scale, temporal thickness and its importance in fixing emerging urban forms, and the role of actors, particularly political and economic powers, in the transformation of land. It is sometimes nothing more than the depoliticized version of the expression urban production.
