Traffic accidents cost the State of Cameroon more than 200 billion FCFA per year.

Emergence reports the results of a report recently published by the Ministry of Transport (MINT). It should also be noted that Cameroon loses 200 billion CFA francs per year due to road accidents. According to Securoute, 70% of road tragedies are attributed to human causes. 35% were due to speeding, 17% to the condition of the vehicle, 10.5% to the state of inebriation of drivers, 10.5% to the lack of control of the steering wheel, 10% to the condition of the road and 7% to poor overtaking.
