transport

In this seventh chapter, we discuss the field of transport and its impact on the city. We make a detailed diagnosis of transport in order to reveal the strengths and weaknesses with regard to the ambition of the Government of Cameroon to make this sector a factor of economic development, national solidarity, reduction of disparities , National and regional integration and consequently increase the weight of Cameroon in its regional environment.

1 - Transport, a strategic sector for Cameroon

Mr. LIMOG GUILLO, Deputy Editor of Capital (2017), says that in the dictionary, the word transport, we find the following definition: "lively emotion" and that in everyday language, transport refers to "means of locomotion And moving something from one place to another ". It can also be a feeling: "going from a place known to go elsewhere is always an adventure".
As in the case of all developing countries, transport is a strategic sector for the dynamism of Cameroon's economy and transformation [UN-CEA, 2017], [ADB, 2015], [MINEPAT, 2010] . This is why the issue of the performance of networks and means of transport is at the heart of the development and poverty reduction concerns due to economic and social issues.

1.1 - Economic Issues
The economic stakes of transport are numerous. Transportation allows travel, managing human flows and flows of goods. Transport systems link commodity production or extraction centers (ivories, mines, spices, silk, perfumes, tea, coffee, textiles, incense, etc.) to the centers of marketing, consumption, or processing (Market, ports, factories). Since prehistoric times, man has traced his way to do business, thus boosting world trade. Several legendary roads have seen all the riches of the planet and have made it possible to pass from one end of the world to ideas and human innovations [CAPITAL, 2017]:
