Public administration: Cameroon, ICTs to take root in simplification and serve the general interest

The Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform (MINFOPRA), Joseph Anderson LE, has just completed a working tour which took him to the 10 regions of Cameroon from March 8 to April 13, 2021, with the aim of '' get its employees to invest so that the reforms initiated by the public authorities can truly take root and serve the general interest. The vast project concerns several areas of work:
    • Modernize service offers by simplifying and dematerializing procedures, in order to allow rapid access to information and administrative documents to its users and to avoid long, painful and expensive trips to central services;
    • Inform online users on all MINFOPRA digital platforms and the activation of the toll-free number 1522 for interactive exchanges and notification of career acts and the management of online administrative competitions;
    • Establish management guidelines determining the multiannual human resources management strategy, it makes it possible to assess the job characteristics and the situation of civil servants and civil servants estimated at 180,000, ie 65% of the workforce. Cameroonian public administration, as well as those who will report to the local public service;
    • Clean up and map the State personnel file through the new SIGIPES 2 underway (institutional framework, implementation process, content, purpose and benefit, etc.).
The expected result is to make it easier for users of the Cameroonian civil service.
