Municipal governance in Cameroon: launch of the 4th edition of the FEICOM national award for municipal best practices
The Minister of Decentralization and Local Development (MINDDEVEL), Georges Elanga Obam, presides over the 11am on Wednesday April 07, 2021 at the Hotel Mont Febe in Yaoundé, the launching ceremony of the fourth edition of the National Prize (FEICOM) best local development practices. Created in 2010 with the technical support of the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-HABITAT), its objectives aim to reward innovative initiatives or that have made a remarkable and lasting contribution to the growth and improvement of the people's lives. The areas to be developed concern the management of resources, the management of equipment and infrastructure, local governance and sustainable development in the communes and urban communities of Cameroon. The first edition took place in 2011.
