Information watch on Covid-19: advocacy for the constitution of local archives around and on the pandemic.
How can local populations and future generations be made to understand the magnitude of the health crisis that has suddenly struck the whole world and caused by the coronavirus? In Cameroon, decentralized local authorities are on the front line of the fight against Covid-19. They could use digital technology for various projects. Among the digital projects, in the context of coronavirus, is the creation and / or conservation of efficient documentation enabling the population and future generations to understand the magnitude of the situation of Covid-19. Such information could feed a national database on all that is done around and on the pandemic at the local level. Such a national project was mentioned by the Ministry of Arts and Culture (MINAC) during the celebration of the 13th edition of the international week of Archives commemorated from June 8 to 14, 2020 on the theme: "Strengthening knowledge societies to face the challenges of decentralization in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic ”.
