Alioum Sidi ranked 17th in the rankings published by the International Federation of Football History and Statistcs (IFFHS)
The director of the final of the last edition of the Africa Cup of Nations is ranked 17th. Alioum Sidi is the best African football referee in 2019. The International Federation of Football History and Statistcs (IFFHS) says so. In his ranking of the year 2019 published on November 25, the Cameroonian ranks 17th with 5 points. He is the first African in front of the Gambian Bakary Papa Gassama 21st on this list (4 points) who has for first the Slovenian Damir Skomina (136 points). We remember that Alioum Sidi brilliantly led the opening match (Egypt-Zimbabwe) and the final (Algeria-Senegal) of the last edition of the African Cup of Nations. He had already been crowned best man in black in the competition and received a triumphant welcome on his return to the fold. Alioum Sidi was born in 1982. He is the chief warrant officer of the Cameroon Air Force. He has directed matches in the African Cup of Nations for the under-17s, the World Cup in the same category and the African Champions League. We also saw him at the 2014 Senior World Cup organized by Brazil. And the 2019 African Cup of Nations was the fifth one he attended.
