The Cameroon Baccalaureate Office announces 143 offenses

The sanctions will range from reprimands to prosecution, including three-year suspensions. The general report of the official examinations for the year 2019 listed 143 cases of offenses across the national territory. These were submitted to the Board of Directors of the Office of the Baccalaureate of Cameroon (OBC) which met in Yaoundé on November 8. The 143 cases of infractions will be punished without detour. Thus, it is specified that during the 63rd ordinary session of the members of the Board of Directors, they released sanctions tailored to each offense. That, after having studied all the 143 cases of fraud subjected to their assessments. "143 cases of offenses ... which, according to a member of the Council, have been thoroughly examined, with the result of sanctions. The CBO has already made proposals to the Ministry of Secondary Education for sanctions. The latter, depending on the case, are reprimands, three-year suspensions and legal proceedings ”, we can note. These offenses concern candidates for examinations organized by the CBO, teachers and third parties. The offenses are already known, the sanctions too; it remains fair that the names of the condemned be published. Indeed, some candidates expressed reservations to their marks and asked that their copies be corrected. But in the end, the result remained the same for them: “… The general report underlines that 96 candidates out of a total of 378,414 registered contested their results by lodging requests. After reviewing their marks, the decisions remained unchanged, therefore, they remained unsuccessful. ”
