Rehabilitation of Yaoundé's urban road network: Monument de la réunification-National Assembly section

View of a deteriorated section of road in the city of Yaoundé.

While the dust was already thick and suffocating, it's now a thing of the past. On July 1, 2025, road users were forced to continue their journey on foot, as traffic was blocked on this stretch of road. Work was underway to lay the asphalt concrete. This is an important stage in the rehabilitation of Yaoundé's roads. Needless to say, the roads in the political capital of Yaoundé are in a sorry state. Water puddles here, potholes there, to the point where not only was traffic in the city becoming a nightmare, with traffic jams to contend with, but also a negative impact on the various machines. Taking the bull by the horns, the laying of asphalt concrete will in the next few days make traffic flow smoothly on the Monument de la réunification-Assemblée nationale section, to everyone's benefit. In view of this asphalt concrete paving work, the authorities are invited to take a global look at the road system in the city of Yaoundé.
