Cameroon Digital Week: Prime Minister presides over official opening ceremony at the Hilton Hotel
It kicked off yesterday, Monday October 16, 2023 in Yaoundé with a series of workshops on the place of women in the digital economy. According to the Gender and ICT Report 2020, only 31% of Internet users in Cameroon are women, compared with 69% men. And women occupy only 20% of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) jobs. Experts from Commonwealth countries will review the obstacles to the development of digital transformation, in particular the difficulties women face in appropriating ICT to stimulate innovation, growth and job creation.
