The Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) suspends the CEO of the Banque camerounaise des PME (BCPME) for 10 years

The decision was made public by the President of the COBAC, Abbas Mahamat TOLLI, against Mrs MANDENG épse NDOUMBE Agnès, until then Managing Director of the Banque camerounaise des Petites et Moyens Entreprises (BCPME). There were several reasons for this decision. Notably the fact that its minimum capital since the start of its activities is only represented up to 2.5 billion FCFA on 30 September 2021, for a regulatory minimum of 10 billion FCFA, this, in violation of the provisions of Article 2 of the COBAC regulation setting the rules of representation of the minimum capital. The CEO was also criticised for not always involving the Deputy CEO in the day-to-day management of the institution. Another grievance concerns the failure to implement certain resolutions passed by the bank's Board of Directors.
