Parliament: Niat Njifendi Marcel and Cavaye Yeguié Djibril re-elected to the Senate and the National Assembly
The two important personalities were re-elected during the plenary sessions for the election of the members of the Bureau to the Senate and to the National Assembly, on Friday March 18, 2022, at the Palais des Congres in Yaoundé. For the Lower House of Parliament, the MP RDPC (Democratic Rally of the Cameroonian People) of Mayo-Sava, Far North region, was re-elected with 148 votes against 1 for his challenger, Hon. Jean Michel Nintcheu, of the Social Democratic Front (SDF), out of the 161 voters. Senator Niat was the only candidate on the list for the post of President of the Upper House of Parliament.
