Inclusive development: The 27th edition of the International Day of the World's Indigenous People is celebrated on August 09, 2021
The theme for this celebration is: "Leaving No One Behind: Indigenous Peoples and the Call for a New Social Contract". In Cameroon, the Ministry of Social Affairs (MINAS) works alongside indigenous peoples with the establishment of a National Plan for the Development of Indigenous Peoples (PNDPA), a framework that organizes, structures and guides all interventions, all actors involved in prevention, assistance and protection of these populations. The Minister, Ms. Pauline Irène Nguene, opened on August 3 in Yaoundé, the work of the 9th session of the Interministerial Committee for the Monitoring of Programs and Projects involving Vulnerable Indigenous Populations in Cameroon (CISPAV).
