Key figures for the special recruitment of teachers in state universities
This decision of the President of the Republic, Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA, increases the number of teachers in State universities in Cameroon:
• November 13, 2019, the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic informs the national opinion of the decision of the President of the Republic to recruit 2000 PhD / PhD holders residing in Cameroon like those of the diaspora (under 45 years old) ;
• 1237 teachers are recruited on January 4, 2019 for the first phase and for the 2020/2021 academic year;
• 549 new teachers are recruited on May 3, 2021 for the second phase for the 2021/2022 academic year and the lists made official by the President of the Central Commission under the supervision of the Minister of State in charge of Education superior ;
• 8 state universities (University of Yaoundé 1, University of Yaoundé 2, University of Maroua, University of Ngaoundéré, University of Douala, University of Dschang, University of Buea, University of Bamenda), 74 public higher education establishments ( 42 classical faculties and 32 grandes écoles)
