Poverty: poverty reduction in Cameroon between 2007 and 2014

The Cameroon statistical yearbook 2019 edition just published by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) notes that, poverty in 2014, fell by nearly 2.4 points compared to 2007. This reduction in poverty is more noticeable in improving access to drinking water. From 45.3% in 2007, the proportion of the population with access to drinking water rose to 61% in 2014, an improvement of 15.7 percentage points.
