The C2D debt reduction and development contract, what is the outcome?

This is an unparalleled program that began 15 years ago and will end in 2025, and at the end of which France has invested 1,000 billion CFA francs in priority areas defined by mutual agreement with Cameroon. These are gigantic sums and the results are positive. As French Ambassador to Cameroon, Christophe Guilhou, has had the opportunity, since his arrival, to go see concretely what is happening in a number of regional capitals. He made a visit a few weeks ago with the Minister of Housing and Urban Development (MINHDU), Céline Ketcha Courtes, near Bertoua, Bafoussam, Garoua and Maroua. He also went to visit, young farmers, entrepreneurs and a number of rural partners. He went to Olamze to see how the community radio project worked. Two months ago, he was in Ngaoundal in the Adamaoua region, to inaugurate some twenty classrooms which are precisely contributing to the development of the country. In other words, the result is positive, it is very concrete but there is still work to be done. Reflection will continue so that solutions are taken, to see how to compensate for the absence due to debt relief in order to sustain actions on the ground.
