Document that falls within the framework of an urban development project

PLU

The Local Urban Plan (PLU) is the document that falls within the framework of an urban development project that will facilitate the establishment of future constructions and the restructuring of precarious neighborhoods in a city. The PLU highlights the main challenges facing the city in terms of urban development, with a view to facilitating the implementation of future constructions and the restructuring of precarious neighborhoods. Indeed, the PLU aims:

  • to make applicable a regulatory town-planning document, enforceable against administrations and third parties;
  • define a precise location of infrastructure or equipment;
  • allow the administration to bring the subdivision plans into conformity, in particular through compliance with development standards and large mesh principles;
  • allow the administration to better control the public domain of the State, easements and non-building areas;
  • define a zoning plan which specifies the applicable construction rules for the plot.
