The challenge of insecurity in Yaoundé, NASERI Paul BEA steps up to the plate and calls for the vigilance of residents

Governor Naseri Paul Bea

The Governor of the Center region, Mr. NASERI Paul BEA prohibits the wearing of backpacks in bars, restaurants, supermarkets, and other places with a high human concentration. These measures aim to ensure the safety of people and goods in Yaoundé and in all localities in the region. Indeed, the latest explosions of homemade bombs in certain districts of the city of Yaoundé do not help to create a climate of serenity. According to sociologist Thaddée Xavier OWONA BIDI, this insecurity will further contribute to instilling anxiety and psychosis if the perpetrators are not identified and arrested. The Governor also invites the populations of his command territory to be more vigilant and to report to the administrative authorities and law enforcement forces the presence of any suspicious or abandoned package.
