Municipal management: we must denounce sight piloting
While local development remains at a standstill between fiscal year, the Ministry of Decentralization and Local Development (MINDDEVEL) warns of the need for a long-term vision to the detriment of a vision of the municipalities in Cameroon. Municipal management must now be part of the long term. In fact, for several years, the state has devoted funds to local development and the impact has not been very visible on the ground. And in this already degraded context, the health and economic crisis will durably accentuate the situation. Faced with the difficulties that lie ahead for the State and the municipalities, it is necessary to demand a global vision of the public finances allocated to the municipalities and to wish to see strengthened governance, steering and management of public finances of decentralized local authorities.
