The real innovation is to trust the intelligence of territories
Since the middle of the 20th century, Cameroon has experienced a very strong acceleration of urbanization, which is reflected in the increase in the population, size and activities of cities. Urbanization is a major challenge of the 21st century, because it will accelerate and pose many problems: urban sprawl, water supply, inadequate transport, waste disposal, lack of housing, lack of facilities, insecurity, overcrowding, poverty, lack of basic urban services (water, electricity, sanitation), pollution, etc. To put an end to the path of the current fighter and bring out solutions, to leave the "ready to think", the State and the other urban actors should draw a new model of social intervention ("reinvented local social action") to prevent vulnerabilities likely to reach a larger public, to (re) place the people concerned (users, inhabitants) at the center of policies and to foster social innovation.
