The government calls on the populations to not relax measures against Covid-19

MINCOM, René Emmanuel Sadi calls for continued compliance with measures against Covid-19

The government of the Republic through the voice of the Minister of Communication (MINCOM), René Emmanuel Sadi, reminds the entire national community that the coronavirus pandemic has not yet been defeated or eradicated in Cameroon. The latest figures presented by the country's health authorities indicate as of November 1, 2020, 22,103 confirmed cases of Covid-19 since March 6, 2020, the date of the appearance of the first cases of coronavirus. 21,151 patients recovered, representing a cure rate of around 96% and a case fatality rate of 1.9%. Unfortunately, 429 cases of death have been recorded. MINCOM reminds that our efforts to continuously reduce the risk of contamination are materialized by awareness raising coupled with massive screening tests in fixed and mobile stations. These methods make it possible to quickly take charge of positive cases and thus promote their recovery as soon as possible. Faced with the observed relaxation of measures to fight against Covid-19, He urges the sense of responsibility of all citizens, with a view to respecting the said barrier measures decreed by the President of the Republic and the WHO, all the more that a number of cases have been recorded in recent weeks nationally, and that there is an increasingly growing spread of the coronavirus pandemic in several regions of the world, particularly in Europe and America.
