Coronavirus: nine regions of Cameroon affected by the pandemic

During his press briefing, on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at the Health Emergencies Center in the Messa district of Yaoundé, Dr. Fanne Mahamat, Director of Health Promotion at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSANTE), announced that the North West region has notified its first case of Covid-19. The Director notes that, "At the end of last week, it was Adamawa who added to this grim list, the following day it was the northern region which followed it. Today, it is the North West region which integrates the list of regions affected by this virus against which we are fighting. Statistics now indicate that nine out of ten regions are affected. It is almost the entire territory that is thus put to the test by this pandemic debt. " Speaking of the results of the pandemic, Cameroon has 1,016 infected people, 42 deaths and fortunately 305 cured patients. In closing, Ms. Fanne Mahamat called for closing the way to Covid-19, "No one is safe, we must all mobilize against this virus. Now is the time to reiterate that the health crisis in our country demands new ways of doing things. This is why the measures prescribed by the government must be observed with the utmost rigor. In particular the wearing of masks in public places, regular hand washing, respect for social distancing ”.
