n the city of Yaoundé, the seat of the institutions of the Republic, public buildings pose a problem of maintenance. Many of these buildings are not very bright, to the chagrin of users, thus presenting a bad city. Yet, these buildings are called to be a showcase of our administrations. On the blackboard, grasses sometimes grow at the entrance of a public building under the indifferent gaze of those who occupy it, sometimes the water dripping pipelines floods the yard, the paint is guessing and goes into tatters. There is something wrong inside. Here, we can not count on anything to restore radiance. One can thus index a lack of will since "budgets are made available for a maintenance of these structures according to a fixed program for the painting, the armchairs etc. "Says an executive of the administration to our source. Some buildings show the existence of these budgets where gardens are well carved, fresh paint, waiting rooms ... That the Department of Domains, Cadastre and Land Affairs, responsible for the buildings of the State to this effect ? It is the responsibility of each person in charge or occupying the premises to present to his guardianship the inventory of fixtures and to ask as needed, renovation, layout, equipment, extension. The latter can, within the framework of the Finance Act and the Circular Letter executing the annual budget, pass budgets for the maintenance of administrative buildings.
