A problem that concerns the authorities: plastic packaging
300 kg of non-biodegradable plastics seized by the departmental delegation of the environment for the protection of nature and sustainable development of Mefou and Afamba. The dangers of this product are multiple against the environment and without forgetting the health of the populations. Before updating the repression against these packaging, the commune of Soa launched on September 25th an awareness campaign against their use. The operation "Soa clean city without plastic waste" is now the battlehorse of the first municipal magistrate of the city Mr. ESSAMA EMBOLO. Indeed, plastic packaging is spread everywhere and causes a lot of damage to the environment, including floods in our cities. The report is distressing about their participation in environmental pollution. Since 2017, a budget has been allocated to the municipality to fight against this phenomenon. It is thus necessary to pass to the phase of the repression.
