Senate: A new office elected for the 3rd term
President Marcel NIAT NJIFENJI is re-elected. He was reappointed as head of the Upper House of Parliament with 98 votes against 1 invalid ballot. Like him, His Majesty ABOUBAKARY ABDOULAYE remains at his post of 1st vice-president. The internal election gave as new Vice Presidents, Senators TABETANDO NDIEB-NSO, Robert NKILI (CPDM), MOCHIGGLE VANIGANGSEN (SDF) and Senator Marie Armande DIN BELL (CPDM). Senator NGOUCHINGHE Sylvestre joined the Senate Bureau as Secretary.
