End of year celebrations in Yaoundé : The figures are good, sales have hit the roof
Most of the business managers in the capital city say they have done very good business. The supermarkets are each pleased that the commercial strategy set up for the end-of-year celebrations has borne fruit. Sales of soft drinks and liquors as well as toys went well, beyond their expectations. Despite the high cost of living and inflation, the number of people visiting the stores increased exponentially and there were good sales of fresh products (butcher's and fish shops). In the traditional markets, it is the same sound of bell. Business was good. Ya-fe 2022 (Yaoundé en Fête) recorded a high level of participation on the site of the Palais des Congres, for the 17th edition of this fair, which ended on Monday, January 2, 2023. According to Etienne Zumbach, Director of Ya-fe, the revenue is much better this year, after a period justified by the Covid-19 and its consequences on the economy.
