Back to school year 2022-2023: Between uncertainty and assurance
It is characterized by a number of difficulties, according to the media. For parents, it's inflation for textbooks, supplies, teaching aids, etc.; for the government, it's shortages, security problems and threats of strikes or boycotts. For the schools, this is the first time in three years that they will only be talking about school and financial matters, and not health matters (Covid-19 is no longer a sword of Damocles, as the government is prepared for a possible resurgence of the epidemic). Despite all these difficulties and threats, the government's reaffirmed objective is to guarantee the continuation of school for all children in Cameroon and to ensure decent working and/or living conditions for teachers.
