The tracking of fraudulent cosmetic products and food supplements is launched on the market
Teams of the Ministry of Public Health have started since August 31, 2022 an operation in the manufacturing and distribution areas of these products, and it will extend in the Central, Eastern and Coastal regions until September 9, 2022. It mainly targets "the circulation of cosmetic and personal hygiene products, containing hydroquinone and its derivatives, mercury and its derivatives as well as corticosteroids," says the Ministry of Public Health, in an information note published on its Facebook account. Following the seizure of fraudulent products, the ministry will proceed to their destruction, in strict compliance with environmental standards. It should be recalled that this action comes after the formal notice served to several operators in this sector.
