Measles: 13% increase in cases compared to 2021

The information is revealed from the review of the National Health Observatory of the Ministry of Public Health. At the end of 2022, 2,631 cases of measles have been diagnosed, compared to 1,113 cases in the same period in 2021. For this disease, the health situation shows 46 cases in active epidemic, for 72% of unvaccinated people and 59% aged between 9 and 59 months. The most affected health districts are located in the South, Centre, Adamaoua, North and Far North regions. Cases have also been reported in the Northwest, West, East, Southwest and Littoral regions.
