World Press Freedom Day (WFPD): Cameroon gains 17 places compared to 2021

Freedom of the press is effective in Cameroon

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) published its 2022 ranking on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day celebrated on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 on the theme: "Journalism under the influence of digital technology" (according to UNESCO, big data and artificial intelligence have an impact on journalism, freedom of expression and privacy). Out of nearly 180 countries screened, Cameroon is ranked 118th. Our country has moved up 17 places from last year. Norway leads the ranking of countries with a free press, and Eritrea is last. The corporation has devoted a session to reflect on the profession of journalism in Cameroon.
