Documentary heritage: Cameroon, an international conference in Yaoundé

Preservation of documentary heritage

The International Center for Research and Documentation on African Traditions and Languages (Cerdotola), in collaboration with the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), and through the UNESCO Participation Program for 2020 - 2021 , is organizing from July 28 to 29, 2021 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, an international conference on the theme: "Conservation and preservation of documentary heritage in Central Africa, pillars of reconciliation and peace consolidation". The final objective of the conference is to develop a strategy and an action plan to be implemented by authorities and information professionals with a view to safeguarding documentary heritage for future generations. The opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Hôtel Franco.
