Robot Pi Car B: a digital innovation from Cameroonian Yannick Edouard Atangana

IAI Cameroon, Center of Technological Excellence Paul BIYA

On Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in Yaoundé, a learning robot capable of recognizing the voice and of visualizing an obstacle placed near it thanks to radio frequencies and therefore of changing direction, was presented by Yannick Edouard Atangana, the young designer of the software part of Pi Car B. The machine can precisely follow the route indicated to it. Digital innovation can be used in areas such as: surveillance (security), agriculture and medicine, in particular through the processing of images by artificial intelligence, visually impaired people, etc. Yannick Edouard Atangana is a Cameroonian student in the 5th year of an engineering study in electronic computing, software and knowledge engineering option at Esirem in Dijon in France and a former student at the African Institute of Informatics (IAI) of Yaoundé, Center of technological excellence Paul BIYA. An innovation that honors Cameroon and its education system. To continue his research, Yannick Edouard Atangana is seeking support from the public authorities in the acquisition of a 3D printer that will allow him to produce his own equipment.
