Despite government bans, common street drug vendors called “Docta” peacefully continue the illicit trade in pharmaceuticals. Law n ° 90/035 of August 10, 1990 relating to the sale of pharmaceutical products in Cameroon in its article 53 stipulates that "any offense, display or distribution of drugs is prohibited on the public highway, in fairs and markets to any person. same holder of the diploma of pharmacist ”. A provision of the law kicked in touch by the "Docta" who, questioned, replied that they have families to feed, children to go to school and bills to pay. The government through the Minister of Public Health (MINSANTE) continues to draw the attention of the populations to the danger that street drugs pose to their state of health and well-being.
