A budget of 32 billion CFA francs adopted for the 2021 fiscal year

The budget of the city of Yaoundé adopted on December 23, 2020 is balanced in revenue and expenditure at more than 32 billion CFA francs. Compared to the previous year, there is an increase of 660 million CFA francs. This budget is backed by a dense campaign plan including, among other things: a road maintenance program covered by an annex budget, land acquisitions and compensation, construction of buildings (Annex 2 of the Hotel city, at the municipal road network), the construction of shops, public toilets and hangars in the markets, a study for the construction of an Olympic swimming pool in the Efoulan district and its ancillary structures, construction of play areas and relaxation, the continued development of the southern entrance to the city, the construction of roads in certain neighborhoods, landscaping, etc. All these investments are aimed at improving living conditions and the well-being of populations.
